Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT FUSE (ACC, ECU-B1, ECU-IG) 
    1. Remove the ACC, ECU-B1, ECU-IG fuses from the cowl side junction block LH.
    2. Measure the resistance of the fuses.

      Standard resistance: 

      Below 1 Ω 

    • NG: REPLACE FUSE 
    • OK: GO TO NEXT STEP 
  2. CHECK WIRE HARNESS (MULTI-DISPLAY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND) 
    1. Disconnect the M5 display connector.
    2. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard resistance 

      MULTI-DISPLAY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND (RESISTANCE)

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      M5-3 (GND1) - Body ground Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage of the wire harness side connector.

      Standard voltage 

      MULTI-DISPLAY - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND (VOLTAGE)

      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      M5-11 (ACC) - M5-3 (GND1) Ignition switch ACC 10 to 14 V
      M5-10 (IG) - M5-3 (GND1) Ignition switch ON 10 to 14 V
      M5-12 (B1) - M5-3 (GND1) Always 10 to 14 V

    • NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR 
    • OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
