Inspection Procedure

  1. INSPECT COMBINATION METER (SPEEDOMETER) 
    1. Drive the vehicle and check that the function of the speedometer on the combination meter is normal.

      OK: 

      Actual vehicle speed and the speed indicated on the speedometer are the same. 

      NG:  GO TO METER / GAUGE SYSTEM

      OK: GO to next step 

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER - RADIO RECEIVER, STEREO COMPONENT AMP.) 
    1. Disconnect the E19 meter connector.
    2. Disconnect the L13 (*1) amplifier or E49 (*2) receiver connector.
    3. Measure the resistance of the wire harness side connectors.

      Standard resistance 

      STANDARD RESISTANCE SPECIFICATIONS

      Tester Connection Specified Condition
      E19-39 (+S) - L13-11 (SPD) (*1) Below 1 Ω
      E19-39 (+S) - E49-3 (SPD) (*2) Below 1 Ω
      HINT:
      *1: for Premium sound models
      *2: for Standard models

      NG: REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

      OK: PROCEED TO NEXT CIRCUIT INSPECTION SHOWN IN  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE
