Knock Sensor: Removal
- DISCHARGE FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE (See
REMOVAL
)
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
CAUTION:
Wait at least 90 seconds after disconnecting the cable from the negative (-) battery terminal to prevent airbag and seat belt pretensioner activation.

- REMOVE V-BANK COVER (See
REMOVAL
)
- REMOVE NO. 1 AIR CLEANER INLET (See
REMOVAL
)
- REMOVE INTAKE AIR CONNECTOR PIPE (See
REMOVAL
)
- REMOVE INTAKE MANIFOLD
- Remove the intake manifold (see
REMOVAL
).
- REMOVE KNOCK SENSOR
- Disconnect the 2 knock sensor connectors.
- Remove the 2 nuts and 2 knock sensors.
