FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY (w/ Occupant Classification ECU, Occupant Classification Sensor): Installation

  1. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR 
    1. Install the occupant classification sensor with the 2 clips.
    2. Connect the connector to the connection in the bracket.

      HINT:

      If the connector cannot be connected securely, push the claws down on the bracket using a screwdriver.

    3. Connect the connector.

  2. INSTALL SEPARATE TYPE FRONT SEAT CUSHION ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Engage the hooks.
    2. Install the separate type front seat cushion assembly RH with the 2 clips.

    3. Engage the hooks.

    4. Engage the 4 hooks.

    5. Engage the clamps.

    6. Engage the 2 hooks.

  3. INSTALL OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION ECU (See  INSTALLATION   ) 
  4. REMOVE FRONT POWER SEAT SWITCH RH 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Install the front power seat switch RH with the 3 screws.

  5. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER CUSHION SHIELD LH 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and clip.
    2. Install the front seat inner cushion shield LH with the screw.

  6. INSTALL FRONT SEAT CUSHION SHIELD ASSEMBLY 
    1. Connect the connector.
    2. Engage the 2 claws.
    3. Install the front seat cushion shield assembly with the 7 screws.

  7. INSTALL RECLINING POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Install the reclining power seat switch knob.

  8. INSTALL SLIDE AND VERTICAL POWER SEAT SWITCH KNOB 
    1. Install the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.

  9. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER BELT ASSEMBLY RH  (See INSTALLATION )
  10. INSTALL FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Place the seat in the cabin.
    2. Connect the connectors under the seat.
    3. Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal.
    4. Move the front seat assembly RH fully forward by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
      NOTE: Check that the seat is locked.
    5. Temporarily install the front side of the front seat assembly RH with the 2 bolts.

    6. Move the front seat assembly RH fully forward by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
      NOTE: Check that the seat is locked.
    7. Temporarily install the rear side of the front seat assembly RH with the 2 bolts.

    8. Move the front seat assembly RH to the rearmost position by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
      NOTE: Check that the seat is locked.
    9. Fully tighten the 2 bolts on the front side of the front seat assembly RH in the order of the inner side bolt and then the outer side bolt.

      Torque: 37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

    10. Move the front seat assembly RH fully forward by operating the slide and vertical power seat switch knob.
      NOTE: Check that the seat is locked.
    11. Fully tighten the 2 bolts on the rear side of the front seat assembly RH in the order of the inner side bolt and then the outer side bolt.

      Torque: 37 N*m (377 kgf*cm, 27 ft.*lbf) 

  11. INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 
    1. Engage the 4 claws and install the front seat rear outer track bracket cover RH.

  12. INSTALL FRONT SEAT REAR INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the inner side and outer side.

  13. INSTALL FRONT SEAT OUTER TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 
    1. Engage the 2 claws and install the front seat outer track bracket cover RH.

  14. INSTALL FRONT SEAT INNER TRACK BRACKET COVER RH 

    HINT:

    Use the same procedure for the inner side and outer side.

  15. INSTALL FRONT SEAT HEADREST ASSEMBLY 
  16. CONNECT FRONT SEAT OUTER BELT ASSEMBLY RH 
    1. Connect the front seat outer belt assembly RH with the bolt.

      Torque: 42 N*m (428 kgf*cm, 31 ft.*lbf) 

    2. Connect the connector.

  17. INSTALL SEAT BELT ANCHOR COVER CAP RH 
    1. Engage the 7 claws and install the seat belt anchor cover cap RH.

  18. PERFORM INITIALIZATION 
    1. Perform initialization (See INITIALIZATION ).

      HINT:

      Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the cable to the negative battery terminal.

  19. PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION AND SENSITIVITY CHECK 
    1. Perform zero point calibration and sensitivity check (See INITIALIZATION  ).
  20. INSPECT FRONT SEAT ASSEMBLY  (See INSTALLATION )
  21. INSPECT SRS WARNING LIGHT 
    1. Inspect SRS warning light (See DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM  ).
