Installation [10/2023 - ]: Procedure

  1. INSTALL DRIVER MONITOR CAMERA 
    NOTE:

    Do not reuse the driver monitor camera if it has been dropped or subjected to a severe impact.

    1. Align the driver monitor camera contact surface with the positioning rib of the upper steering column cover as shown in the illustration.

      *c Driver monitor camera contact surface
      *d Upper steering column cover
      Install in this Direction
      NOTE:

      Make sure that the driver monitor camera design surface does not contact the upper steering column cover.

    2. Slide the driver monitor camera in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration along the positioning rib.

      *c Driver monitor camera contact surface
      *d Upper steering column cover
      Slide in this direction
      NOTE:

      Make sure that the driver monitor camera design surface does not contact the upper steering column cover.

    3. Rotate the driver monitor camera in the direction of the arrow shown in the illustration along the positioning rib and attach the driver monitor camera contact surface to the positioning rib.

      *d Upper steering column cover
      Rotate in this direction
    4. Press in the driver monitor camera to temporarily secure it.
    5. Tighten the 3 screws in the order shown in the illustration.

      Torque: 1.8 N.m (18 kgf/cm, 16 in.lbf) 

      NOTE:

      Visually check that there is no step between the driver monitor camera design surface and upper steering column cover surface.

  2. INSTALL UPPER STEERING COLUMN COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 2

  3. INSTALL LOWER STEERING COLUMN COVER 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 3

  4. CUSTOMIZE POWER TILT AND POWER TELESCOPIC STEERING COLUMN SYSTEM 

    Refer to PROCEDURE - Step 20

  5. REMOVE DRIVER MONITOR CAMERA PROTECTIVE TAPE

      Remove in this Direction
      Hold Here

      Remove the driver monitor camera protective tape as shown in the illustration.
