Fig. 4 EGR Modulator Valve:

1. Start engine and run at idle until it reaches normal operating temperature.
2. Disconnect vacuum hose between EGR modulator valve and EGR control valve at modulator valve Fig. 4.
3. Increase engine speed to 2000 RPM and ensure vacuum is present at port of modulator valve.
