Keyless Entry Transmitter: Description and Operation




Transmitter Description
- The transmitter sends AM radio waves (315 MHz) to the keyless control module for remote control of door lock/unlock and trunk lid unlock features.
- Each transmitter has its own identification (ID) code for burglary prevention. keyless entry system operation is not possible by using a transmitter of another vehicle.
- The battery can be used for approximately two years assuming the system is operated up to ten times daily.
- The battery type is lithium battery CR2032.
- The transmitter operation limit is approximately 15 m {49 ft} from the center of the vehicle.
