Trouble Shooting

Check the following items before proceeding with testing:

• Check battery state of charge.
• Check cable connections at battery and starter motor.
• Ensure transmission is fully engaged in Park or Neutral position.
• Ensure clutch pedal is fully depressed.
• Check fuse No. 1 (50-amp) in power distribution box, in engine compartment.
• Check fuse No. 24 (7.5-amp) in instrument panel fuse box.
• On models equipped anti-theft system, ensure anti-theft system is operating properly (horn sounds, lights flash, etc.) See appropriate ANTI-THEFT SYSTEM article in ACCESSORIES & EQUIPMENT for additional information.
