Front Evaporator Removal/Installation

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Evacuate the refrigerant from the system. (See REFRIGERANT RECOVERY .) (See REFRIGERANT CHARGING .)
  3. Disconnect the cooler pipe No. 3 from the expansion valve. (See AIR FILTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  4. Remove the glove compartment. (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  5. Disassemble the air duct.
  6. Slide the air duct toward (A) and push it down toward (B) to remove it.

  7. Remove the PCM. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
  8. Remove in the order indicated in the illustration.

  9. Install in the reverse order of removal.
