Diagnostic Procedure

SECURITY INDICATOR LIGHT: 22, DTC: B10DA:51/P1260:00 [START STOP UNIT] DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	PERFORM IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-RELATED PART PROGRAMMING Perform the start stop unit replacement and programming due to simultaneous replacement of start stop unit/PCM. (See IMMOBILIZER SYSTEM-RELATED PARTS PROGRAMMING .) Clear the DTC for the immobilizer system using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [START STOP UNIT] .) Retrieve the immobilizer system DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [START STOP UNIT] .) Is the security indicator light: 22, the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Go to the next step.
1		No	Go to Step 4.
2	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY START STOP UNIT MALFUNCTION Clear the DTC for the immobilizer system using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [START STOP UNIT] .) Retrieve the immobilizer system DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [START STOP UNIT] .) Is the security indicator light: 22, the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Replace the start stop unit, then go to the next step. (See START STOP UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
2		No	Go to Step 4.
3	PERFORM DTC INSPECTION AND VERIFY PCM MALFUNCTION Clear the DTC for the immobilizer system using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [START STOP UNIT] .) Retrieve the immobilizer system DTCs using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [START STOP UNIT] .) Is the security indicator light: 22, the same Pending DTC present?	Yes	Replace the PCM, then go to the next step. (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (VIN Y)] .) (See PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G (VIN M)] .)
3		No	Go to the next step.
4	VERIFY IF OTHER DTCs DISPLAYED Are any other DTCs displayed?	Yes	Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the applicable DTC troubleshooting. (See DTC TABLE [START STOP UNIT] .)
4		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
