Rear Mount Camera Inspection

- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Liftgate upper trim (See LIFTGATE UPPER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate side trim (See LIFTGATE SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate recess cover (See LIFTGATE RECESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Power liftgate (PLG) rear switch (with power liftgate) (See POWER LIFTGATE (PLG) REAR SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Liftgate lower trim (See LIFTGATE LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Rear finisher (See REAR FINISHER REMOVAL .) (See REAR FINISHER INSTALLATION .)
- Rear mount camera (See REAR MOUNT CAMERA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Prepare four dry cell batteries (1.5 V)
- Connect the four dry cell batteries in a series.
- Connect the positive pole of the dry cell battery to rear mount camera terminal A, and the negative pole to terminal E.
- With the cell batteries being connected, measure the waveform between rear mount camera terminal D and terminal C.
- Verify that waveform A shown in the figure is displayed two times or more.
- If the voltage is not as shown in the figure, replace the rear mount camera.
