Steering Angle Adjustment

- Loosen the tie-rod end locknuts.
- Remove the steering gear boot clamp.
- Rotate the tie rod and adjust the steering angle.NOTE:
- The travel distance of the right and left tie rods should be the same.
- Rotate the tie rod and adjust so that dimension L shown in the figure does not exceed the specification.
Specification
- 49.8-63.8 mm {1.97-2.51 in} (difference between left and right: 3 mm {0.1 in} or less)
- Tighten the tie-rod end locknuts.
Tightening torque
- 69-98 N.m {7.1-9.9 kgf.m, 51-72 ft.lbf}
- Verify that the boot does not have any twisting and install the boot clamp.
- After steering angle adjustment, always inspect and adjust the total toe-in. (See TOTAL TOE-IN ADJUSTMENT .)
