SERVICE INFORMATION
As of August 1983, a modified distributor rotor was phased into production. The new rotor is identified by a protruding ring (arrow, Figure 1). The part number 000 158 36 31 remains unchanged.
The previous-version rotor may cause difficult engine starting. Therefore, the improved version rotor is to be installed in all of the following vehicles during regular maintenance.
