Electric control unit component description - GF27.19-P-5145GZ

Location 

The electric control unit (VGS), the valve body, the intermediate panel and the valve housing are connected together with bolts and mounted under the transmission housing.

Task 

The electric control unit (VGS) receives the various input signals and converts the control unit information into hydraulic functions.

Design 

The electric control unit (VGS) consists of a plastic supporting body in which the following electrical components are combined:

The printed-conductor foil which is inserted in the supporting body makes the connection between the electrical components and the plug socket.

Apart from the solenoid valves all the other electrical components are permanently connected to the printed-conductor foil.

The connection to the cable set on the vehicle side is made with a bayonet lock via the plug socket.

Function 

In the electric control unit (VGS) signals from the fully integrated transmission control (VGS) control unit are converted into hydraulic functions. The following electrical components provide input signals to the fully integrated transmission control (VGS) control unit:
