DANGER Risk of explosion  caused by fuel igniting, risk of poisoning caused by inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin caused by contact with fuel. No fires, sparks, open flames or smoking. Pour fuels into suitable and appropriately marked containers only.
Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.

Do not carry out any work on system when it is pressurized.

Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Relieve fuel pressure using diagnostic system.    
DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEMS     AD00.00-P-2000-06MFA
      AR07.00-P-0003-01MFA 
2 Disconnect ground line of on-board electrical system battery (G1).   AR54.10-P-0003MFA
3 Remove upper engine cover.    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE   INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Only install upper engine cover after the leak test. AP01.10-P-2405-01K
4 Remove residual pressure in the fuel circuit.   AR07.03-P-1460-02 MM 
5 Remove engine wiring harness and place to one side.    
6 Separate cable tie (2). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Replace cable tie (2).  
7 Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect.    
8 Clean area around the fuel pressure and temperature sensor (3). Assembly cleaner *BR00.45-Z-1028-04A 
9 Remove fuel pressure and temperature sensor (3). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Pressure and temperature sensor to low-pressure fuel distributor *BA07.04-P-1008-01R 
10 Install in the reverse order.    
11 Read out and delete fault memory.

12 Check high-pressure fuel circuit.

13 Carry out engine test run and check engine for proper operation and leak tightness.    
14 Install upper engine cover.
