| Remove | |||
| 1 | Open side window in driver door. | Leave the side window of the driver's door open during the curing time of the adhesive material. This prevents the side window (1) from being pressed outwards by the air pressure when a door is closed. |

| 3 | Remove C-pillar trim. | AR68.30-P-4490MEC | |
| 4 | Unclip electrical wiring harness (2) in the area of the side window (1) and fasten outside of the working area. | Do not crush or kink or subject electric lines to tension. This will result in damage to the lines and can impair their function. |

| 5 | Unclip trim elements from the side window (1). | Fig 1 | |
| 6 | Cover vehicle interior in the repair area. | ||
| 7 | Protect area around the side window (1) on the inside and outside against damage using fabric tape. | Adhesive fabric tape | *BR00.45-Z-1062-02A |
| 8 | Secure side window (1) using suitable tape against falling down. | ||
| Risk of injury from cutting wire tearing or becoming hot and from splinters of glass when cutting out bonded windows | Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. | AS67.00-Z-0004-01A | |
| 9 | Cut out side window (1) and remove. | ||
The side window (1) must therefore always be replaced. |

When damaged to a degree of ≤ 10 % it is possible to repair with primer stick. If damage is ≥ 10 % the window frame must be coated with primer filler. Otherwise corrosion damage may occur. |

Perform following work only after curing time. |

| 15 | Remove protective covers in the repair area. | ||
| 16 | Fasten electrical wiring harness (2) in the area of the side window (1). | Ensure that the electrical wiring harness (2) is correctly routed. Otherwise, damage to the electrical wiring harness (2) will occur. |

| 19 | Close side window of the driver's door. | ||
| Clean | |||
| 20 | Clean new side window (1), adjacent painted parts, and vehicle interior. |
