Check
- Slightly lower rear side window (1) and attach three adhesive strips to upper-most edge of rear side window (1) as shown.
- Make guide lines on adhesive strips at intervals of 8 mm measured from the upper-most edge of the rear side window (1).
- Move rear side window (1) to upper end position.

- Check immersion depth of rear side window (1)
in trim piece (8) with feeler gauge.
The rear side window (1) should run at least 8 mm into the trim piece (8). The upper measuring point for determine the immersion depth is the bottom edge of the mounting rail.
If value is not correct:

Adjust rear side window (1).

Adjust
- Install cup suction tool to adjust rear side window (1).

- Loosen nuts (17).
- Lower rear side window (1) so that nut (18) is accessible.
- Loosen nut (18).
- Move rear side window (1) to upper end position again.
- Move rear side window (1) with cup suction tool until dimension (c) and (d) are adjusted between front door side window and rear side window (1) as well as insertion depth (1) in trim piece (8).
The wedge shape not be more than max. 1 mm.
Dimensions (c) and (d) are identical and correspond to the dimension "F57" in the table inserted above.
- Tighten nuts (17)

- Lower rear side window (1) until bolt (18) is accessible.
- Tighten nut (18)
.
- Completely lower side window (1) and then move to upper end position.
- Close front door.
- Check dimensions (c) and (d) between rear side window (1) and front door side window as well as immersion depth of rear side window (1) in trim piece (8).
If specified check values are not reached:

Repeat adjustment procedure.
- Normalize electric window lifting mechanism.
Actuate button to close rear side window (1) and hold down for approx. 5 s. Then check whether rear side window (1) opens and closes automatically.
