Test 91A - All Doors Fail To Lock From Any Switch

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1995 Eagle Vision, 1995 Dodge Intrepid, 1995 Chrysler New Yorker, 1995 Chrysler LHS, and 1995 Chrysler Concorde. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, see appropriate article in ENGINE PERFORMANCE:
  1. Using scan tool, read door lock switch voltage. If voltage is more than 0.2 volt, go to TEST 88C  . If voltage is less than 0.2 volt, remove door lock relay from junction block. See Figure . Junction block is located behind end cover, on left side of instrument panel. Go to next step.
  2. Using scan tool, actuate door lock relay. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on door lock relay connector terminal "C" (Orange/White wire). If voltage does not toggle from less than 1.0 volt to more than 10 volts, go to step 5). If voltage toggles from less than 1.0 volt to more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  3. Remove door unlock relay. Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of door unlock relay connector terminal "D" (Black wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Black wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  4. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance between door unlock relay connector terminals "A" (Pink/Black wire) and "D" (Black wire). If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace door unlock relay. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace door lock relay.
  5. Gain access to Body Control Module (BCM). BCM is located behind right kick panel. Leave BCM connectors connected. Using scan tool in voltmeter mode, check voltage on BCM Gray connector terminal No. 18 (Orange/White wire). Using scan tool, actuate door lock relay. If voltage toggles between less than 1.0 volt and more than 10 volts, repair open Orange/White wire. If voltage does not toggle between less than 1.0 volt and more than 10 volts, go to next step.
  6. Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM Gray connector. Disconnect Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) module. See Figure . Using scan tool in ohmmeter mode, check resistance of BCM Gray connector terminal No. 18 (Orange/White wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Orange/White wire. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace BCM.
