Disassembly & Reassembly (Montero)
- Remove fuel pump bracket. See Fig 1. Remove fuel pump cushion and fuel pump. Remove grommet and pump harness. Remove housing. Remove assist pump. Remove cap and "O" ring. Remove fuel tank differential pressure sensor and high pressure fuel filter.
- To reassemble fuel pump module, reverse disassembly procedure. Install NEW "O" ring. When installing, apply gasoline to grommet and "O" ring to prevent them from being damaged or deformed.
