DTC C1613: Drive Mode Selector System (Stuck On): Diagnosis
Required Special Tools:
- MB992006: Extra fine probe
- STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) data list.
Item No. 68: Drive mode selector (Refer to SPECIAL FUNCTION ).
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 4.
NO: Go to Step 2.
- STEP 2. Check of short circuit in SW1 line S-AWC drive mode-selector connector and AWC-ECU connector.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 3.
NO: Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
- STEP 3. Check of the S-AWC drive mode-selector
Refer to S-AWC DRIVE MODE-SELECTOR <AWD> .
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 4.
NO: Replace the S-AWC drive mode-selector (Refer to S-AWC DRIVE MODE-SELECTOR <AWD> ).
- STEP 4. Check whether the DTC is set again.
Q: Is the DTC C1613 set?
YES: Replace the AWC-ECU (Refer to AWC-ECU <AWD> ).
NO: Intermittent malfunction (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION ).
