DTC C1628: Abnormal Electronic Control Coupling Solenoid Current: Diagnosis
Required Special Tools:
- MB992006: Extra fine probe
- STEP 1. Check of open circuit, and short circuit in SOL+ line between electronic control coupling solenoid connector and AWC-ECU connector.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 2.
NO: Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
- STEP 2. Check of open circuit, and short circuit in SOLline between electronic control coupling solenoid connector and AWC-ECU connector.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 3.
NO: Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
- STEP 3. Check of the electronic control coupling solenoid.
Refer to ELECTRONIC CONTROL COUPLING OPERATION CHECK <AWD> .
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 4.
NO: Replace the electronic control coupling (Refer to S-AWC DRIVE MODE-SELECTOR <AWD> ).
- STEP 4. Check whether the DTC is set again.
Q: Is the DTC C1628 set?
YES: Replace the AWC-ECU (Refer to AWC-ECU <AWD> ).
NO: Intermittent malfunction (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION ).
