Diagnostic Procedure

  1. STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) data list 

    Check the following data list (Refer to DATA LIST REFERENCE TABLE ).

    • Item No. 408: Filler lid Open SW/ECO mode SW

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    YES:  Go to Step  4.

    NO:  Go to Step  2.

  2. STEP 2. Follow the ETACS-ECU trouble symptom procedure "The hazard indicator assembly (ECO mode switch) signal is not received." 

    Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 18: THE ECO MODE SWITCH SIGNAL IS NOT RECEIVED .

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    YES:  Go to Step  4.

    NO:  Repair it. Then go to Step  3.

  3. STEP 3. Retest the system. 

    Q: Does the malfunction occur again? 

    YES:  Go to Step  4.

    NO:  This diagnosis is complete.

  4. STEP 4. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) DTC. 

    Check whether an ETACS-related DTC is set in the AWC-ECU (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART  ).

    Q: Is the DTC set? 

    YES:  Perform the relevant troubleshooting. Then go to Step  5.

    NO:  Go to Step  5.

  5. STEP 5. Retest the system. 

    Q: Does the malfunction occur again? 

    YES:  Diagnose again from Step  1.

    NO:  This diagnosis is complete.
