DTC U1920: K-line error (master lost) <FEMCU>: Diagnosis

  1. STEP 1. Resistance measurement at the power drive unit connector and the PHEV-ECU connector. 
    1. Disconnect the connector, and measure at the wiring harness side.
    2. Measure the resistance between the power drive unit connector (KLN1 terminal) and the PHEV-ECU connector (KLN1 terminal).

    OK: The resistance should be 2 ohms or less. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    YES:  Go to Step  2.

    NO:  Replace the connector(s) or wiring harness.

  2. STEP 2. After replacing the PHEV-ECU, recheck the diagnostic trouble code. 

    Replace the PHEV-ECU (Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).

    Q: Is the DTC set? 

    YES:  Replace the power drive unit (Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION <FRONT>  ).

    NO:  The procedure is complete.
