Check Before Engine Is Started

  1. Park vehicle on flat surface. Set transmission mode switch to AUTO position, move selector lever to "P" position. Turn ignition switch to ON position. Power indicator light should come on for about 2 seconds.
  2. Set transmission mode switch to POWER position. POWER indicator light should come on. Set transmission mode switch to COMFORT position. COMFORT indicator light should come on. Set overdrive switch to OFF position. Overdrive OFF indicator light should come on.
  3. Move selector lever to "D" position and depress and release accelerator pedal quickly. POWER indicator light should come on forabout 3 seconds.
