Diagnostic Procedure

With CONSULT-II 

1. Turn ignition switch to ON position and start engine.
2. Select DATA MONITOR mode for TRANSMISSION with CONSULT-II.
3. The CAN COMM CIRCUIT is detected.

   YES or NO 

   1. Yes: Refer to DTC U1000 CAN COMMUNICATION LINE .
   2. No: GO TO 2

With CONSULT-II 

1. Start engine.
2. Select ECU INPUT SIGNALS in DATA MONITOR mode for TRANSMISSION with CONSULT-II.
3. Start vehicle and read out the value of SEC HYDR SEN and PRI HYDR SEN"

   OK or NG 

   1. OK: GO TO  7.
   2. NG: GO TO  4.

Without CONSULT-II 

1. Start engine.
2. Check voltage between TCM connector and ground.

   OK or NG 

   1. OK: GO TO  7.
   2. NG: GO TO 4.

Perform line pressure test. Refer to LINE PRESSURE TEST .

OK or NG 

1. OK: GO TO 5.
2. NG: Repair or replace damaged parts. Refer to JUDGEMENT OF LINE PRESSURE TEST .

Check secondary pressure sensor system and primary pressure sensor system. Refer to DTC P0840 TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR A CIRCUIT (SEC PRESSURE SENSOR) , DTC P0845 TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR B CIRCUIT (PRI PRESSURE SENSOR) .

OK or NG 

1. OK: GO TO 6.
2. NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.

Check the following:

• Line pressure solenoid valve. Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION .
• Secondary pressure solenoid valve. Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION .
• Step motor. Refer to COMPONENT INSPECTION .

OK or NG 

1. OK: GO TO 7.
2. NG: Repair or replace damaged parts.

Perform DTC Confirmation Procedure.

• Refer to DTC CONFIRMATION PROCEDURE .

OK or NG 

1. OK: INSPECTION END 
2. NG: Replace the TCM or transaxle assembly. Refer to REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION .
