DTC Confirmation Test "A"

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Nissan Xterra and 2002 Nissan Frontier. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Turn ignition on. Select DATA MONITOR mode with scan tool. Start engine. Drive vehicle at a speed of more than 4 MPH for at least 5 consecutive seconds.
  2. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to appropriate DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. If 1st trip DTC is not detected, turn ignition off, wait at least 5 seconds and go to DTC CONFIRMATION TEST "B"  .
