Component Location

A. Steering column assembly(view with steering column assembly removed)
No. Component Function
1. ABS (Anti-lock Braking System) actuator and electric unit (control unit) Transmits the following signal to EPS control unit via CAN communication:
  • Vehicle speed signal (ABS)

Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
2. ECM (Engine Control Module) Transmits the following signal to EPS control unit via CAN communication:
  • Engine status signal

Refer to Component Location for detailed component location.
3. Combination meter
  • Transmits the following signal to EPS control unit via CAN communication:
    • Vehicle speed signal (Meter)
  • Turns ON the EPS warning lamp according to the signal from EPS control unit via CAN communication.
Refer to Component Location (with Type A meter) or Component Location (with Type B meter) for detailed component location.
4. EPS (Electric Power Steering) motor Refer to EPS Motor and Torque Sensor .
5. EPS control unit Refer to EPS Control Unit .
6. Torque sensor Refer to EPS Motor and Torque Sensor .
