Output Signals
NOTE:
Each vehicle may be equipped with different combinations of computer controlled components. The following listed components may NOT be used on all models. For theory and operation on each output component, refer to the system indicated in brackets, to the right of each component.
The ECU processes information from the input sensors and sends appropriate voltage control signals to the following engine controls:
- Air Conditioner Power Relay (Idle Speed)
- Boost Pressure Meter (Meter Display)
- Check Engine Light (Emission)
- Detonation Control Signal (Ignition)
- EGR Control Solenoid Valve (Emission)
- Fuel Injectors (Fuel Control)
- Fuel Pump Control (Fuel Delivery)
- Idle Speed Control Servo (Idle Speed)
- Ignitor (Ignition)
- Power Transistor (Ignition)
- Purge Control Solenoid Valve (Emission)
- Secondary Air Induction Control Valve (Emission)
- Self-Diagnostics (Self-Diagnostics)
