Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) Removal:




REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove air cleaner.
3. Disconnect the Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) electrical connector.
4. Remove the two TPS mounting screws and remove TPS.

INSTALLATION

1. Install TPS and tighten screws to 2 Nm (20 lb-in).
2. Connect TPS electrical connector.
3. Install air cleaner.
4. Connect negative battery cable.
