IMPORTANT

DEALER SERVICE INSTRUCTIONS

Emissions Recall # 637 - Powertrain Control Module

^ This service requirement applies only to:

^ 1989 Model Year Plymouth Horizon, Sundance and Reliant; and Dodge Omni, Shadow and Aries Vehicles Equipped With a 2.2L Throttle Body Fuel Injected Engine, Automatic Transmission and Federal Emission Control System Currently Located in a High Altitude State (Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah).

^ 1989 Model Year Plymouth Acclaim; Dodge -- Daytona, Spirit and Dynasty; and Chrysler LeBaron Coupe and LeBaron Convertible Vehicles Equipped with a 2.5L Throttle Body Fuel Injected Engine, Automatic Transmission and Federal Emission Control System Currently Located in a High Altitude State (Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada, Utah).

^ Carbon Monoxide (CO) levels for the listed model vehicles may exceed the limits allowed by Federal Emissions Standards. To correct the condition, the Powertrain Control Module must be replaced.

^ Old powertrain Control Modules must be returned to the Warranty Material Return Center.

Parts Packages

^ Due to the small number of involved vehicles, no parts packages will be distributed initially for this recall. Dealers are requested to order parts only to support scheduled repairs.

NOTE: This recall only applies to affected vehicles currently located in Colorado, New Mexico, Nevada and Utah.
