CYLINDER HEAD BOLT TIGHTENING PROCEDURE

Bolt Tightening Degree Chart:

1. Install new retaining bolts - (carrier and cylinder head).
2. Tighten all bolts to 25 Nm (18 lbs. ft.) following the sequence shown.
3. Tighten all bolts an additional 60° in sequence shown.
4. Tighten all bolts an additional 60° in sequence shown.
5. Tighten all bolts an additional 60° in sequence shown.
6. Start engine and run until thermostat opens.
7. Tighten all cylinder head/cam carrier bolts an additional 30° - 50° in sequence shown.
