Removal Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Pontiac Aztek and 2002 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Remove the instrument panel upper trim. Refer to TRIM PAD REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) UPPER (AZTEK) and TRIM PAD REPLACEMENT - INSTRUMENT PANEL (I/P) UPPER (RENDEZVOUS) in Instrument Panel, Gages, and Console.
  2. Remove the security indicator lamp (3) from the instrument panel upper trim:
    1. 2.1. Rotate the lamp counterclockwise to approximately 1/4 turn.
    2. 2.2. Pull the lamp out.
  3. Disconnect the security indicator lamp electrical connector from the security indicator lamp.
