Upper Intake Manifold Assembly: Installation

CAUTION: Do not immerse the assembled upper intake manifold in cleaning solvent. Clean all sealing surfaces and the inside of the upper intake manifold with a shop towel and cleaning solvent.
NOTE: Inspect the upper intake manifold for cracks or other damage to the exterior, cracking or damage to the gasket grooves and Loose or damaged bolt hole thread inserts. If replacing the upper intake manifold, turn and remove the PCV valve cover from the upper intake manifold. Install a new seal.

To install, reverse removal procedure using NEW gaskets and seals. Lubricate all new seals with clean engine oil. Tighten upper intake manifold retaining studs to specification using an alternating sequence. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
