Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2002 Buick Regal and 2002 Buick Century. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Connect the electrical connector to the headlamp switch.

  3. Align the headlamp switch tabs to the I/P and press the switch into position.
    NOTE: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
  4. Install the headlamp switch screws. Tighten the screws to 1.8 N.m (16 in lbs).
  5. Align and insert the forward edge of the left I/P access opening cover behind the hinge pillar.
  6. Align the access opening cover retainers to the slots on the I/P trim pad and press firmly to secure.
