Installation Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2003 Pontiac Aztek and 2003 Buick Rendezvous. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
  1. Install the hood latch support bracket to the upper radiator tie bar.

  2. Install the four bolts to the hood latch support bracket.

    Tighten 

    Tighten the hood latch support bracket bolts to 25 N.m (18 lb ft).

  3. Reposition the hood latch release cable to the hood latch support bracket.
  4. Install the hood latch to the hood latch support bracket. Refer to HOOD LATCH REPLACEMENT  .
  5. Adjust the hood, if required. Refer to HOOD ADJUSTMENT  .
  6. Connect the electrical harness to the hood latch support bracket.
  7. Close the hood.
