Test C: Power Windows Lockout Function Inoperative

NOTE: Master window switch on 2-door models has only one harness connector. Master window switch on 4-door models has 2 harness connectors.
  1. Operate power window system with passenger window lockout function activated. If lockout function does not operate normally, go to next step. If lockout function operates, problem my be intermittent. See PROBLEM DIAGNOSIS  under INTERMITTENTS.
  2. Disconnect driver window switch 5-pin harness connector C2. Check for open, short to ground or short to voltage in Dark Blue wire between driver window switch harness connector C2 terminal "A" and passenger window switch harness connector terminal "B". See Figure . If no problem is found, go to next step. If problem is found, repair as necessary and go to step  4 .
  3. Replace driver window switch. See WINDOW SWITCH  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. After repairs are made, go to next step.
  4. Check system for proper operation. If system operates properly, test is complete. If system does not operate properly, go to step  1 .
