Removal Procedure

CAUTION: Refer to BATTERY DISCONNECT CAUTION in Cautions and Notices.
  1. Remove the negative battery cable.
  2. Remove the floor console from the vehicle. Refer to CONSOLE REPLACEMENT -- FRONT FLOOR (FULL LENGTH (AUTO TRANS)) or CONSOLE REPLACEMENT -- FRONT FLOOR (FULL LENGTH (ENVOY)) or CONSOLE REPLACEMENT -- FRONT FLOOR (NON-FULL LENGTH) or CONSOLE REPLACEMENT -- FRONT FLOOR (FULL LENGTH (MANUAL TRANS)) .
  3. Remove remote CD changer, if equipped. Refer to REMOTE CD PLAYER REPLACEMENT .
  4. Remove the console wiring harness from the amplifier.
  5. Remove the amplifier mounting nuts.
  6. Remove the amplifier from the mounting bracket.
