Preliminary Inspection: Notes

Before performing any testing on wiper/washer system, check and repair the following items or conditions to eliminate common problems. If area of fault is not located during preliminary inspection, verify system operation. See SYSTEM OPERATION CHECK  .

• Check system fuses. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
• Check washer fluid reservoir level.
• Check for kinked or damaged washer hoses.
• Check for damaged washer pump.
• Check for damaged, loose or corroded connections.
• Check for damaged wiring harness.
• Ensure washer nozzles are not plugged.
• Check for binding or damaged wiper arm linkage.
