Left Front Wheel Sensor Insulator

  1. Place wheel sensor selector switch to "4" position. Turn wheel sensor switch to "Front L". If wheel sensor LED light comes on, go to next test. If LED light does no come on, using an ohmmeter, check resistance between ECU and ground at each Red wire.
  2. If resistance is 100k ohms or more, insulation is okay. If resistance is less than 100k ohms at either wire, unplug left front wheel sensor connector. Check resistance between each wheel sensor terminal and ground.
  3. If resistance at either terminal is less than 100k ohms, replace wheel sensor. If resistance at both terminals was 100k ohms or more, check damaged wiring between wheel sensor and ECU.
