Solenoid Tests

  1. Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between terminal "S" and switch body. See Fig 1. If continuity is present, coil is okay. Check continuity between terminal "S" and "M". If continuity is present, coil is okay.
  2. With plunger placed in lowest position, push down solenoid. Check continuity between terminals "B" and "M". If continuity is present, coil is okay.
