TCS Off Switch Inoperative, TCS Off Indicator Light Functions Properly

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect TCS OFF switch 6-pin connector. Measure resistance between terminals No. 3 and 5 at TCS OFF switch terminals. See Fig 1 . With switch on, resistance should be one ohm or less. With switch off, resistance should infinite. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, replace TCS OFF switch.
  2. Ensure ignition is off. Reconnect TCS OFF switch 6-pin connector. Disconnect ABS/TCS control unit connectors. Measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 16 at ABS/TCS control unit 20-pin harness connector. See Figure . With switch on, resistance should be one ohm or less. With switch off, resistance should infinite. If resistance is as specified, replace ABS/TCS control unit. If resistance is not as specified, repair wiring harness as necessary.
