Test 9: Stoplight Switch Problem

  1. Inspect brakelight operation. Repair as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  . Turn ignition off. Disconnect ABS control unit harness connector. Measure voltage between ABS control unit harness connector terminals No. 10 and 25. See Figure .
  2. Voltage should be 4 volts or greater when brake pedal is depressed. If voltage is as specified, replace ABS control unit. If voltage is not as specified, inspect and repair circuit as necessary. See WIRING DIAGRAMS  .
