DTC P1130: Front Oxygen Sensor (O2S) Circuit Malfunction (Open Circuit) - 2.2L & Legacy 2.5L M/T

  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect ECM connector B136 (30-pin connector) and front O2S connector. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance of harness between ECM connector B136 (30-pin connector) terminal No. 7 and front O2S connector terminal No. 1. See Figure and Fig 1 . If resistance is less than one ohm, go to next step. If resistance is one ohm or more, repair open in harness between ECM and front O2S connectors. See appropriate wiring diagram in WIRING DIAGRAMS article. Check for poor contact at connections.
  2. Check resistance of harness between ECM connector B136 (30-pin connector) terminal No. 20 and front O2S connector terminal No. 3. If resistance is less than one ohm, check for poor contact at front O2S connector. If connector is okay, replace front O2S. If resistance is one ohm or more, repair open in harness between ECM and front O2S connectors. Check for poor contact at connections.
