Master Cylinder: Installation

Attach the clutch hose bracket to the bulkhead.
Tightening torque:

25 N.m (2.5 kgf-m, 18.4 ft-lb)
Install the master cylinder to the body, and connect the clutch pipe and the reservoir hose.
Tightening torque:

T1: 15 N.m (1.5 kgf-m, 11.1 ft-lb)

T2: 18 N.m (1.8 kgf-m, 13.3 ft-lb)

Connect the push rod of the master cylinder, and install the clevis pin and snap pin.
CAUTION: Always use a new clevis pin.

NOTE: Apply grease to the clevis pin.

Install the knee airbag module. Refer to AIRBAG SYSTEM>KNEE AIRBAG MODULE>INSTALLATION .
Fill the recommended brake fluid. Refer to CLUTCH SYSTEM>CLUTCH FLUID .
After bleeding air from the clutch system, ensure that the clutch operates properly. Refer to CLUTCH SYSTEM>CLUTCH FLUID AIR BLEEDING .
Install the instrument panel lower cover. Refer to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>INSTALLATION .
Install the intercooler. Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (STI)>INTERCOOLER>INSTALLATION . Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>INTERCOOLER>INSTALLATION .
Install the collector cover. (Except for STI model) Refer to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (EXCEPT FOR STI)>COLLECTOR COVER>INSTALLATION .
Connect the battery ground terminal. Refer to NOTE>NOTE>BATTERY .
NOTE: For models other than STI model, connect the ground terminal to battery sensor.
