Check Pressure Solenoid Unit

  1. Check the resistance of pressure solenoids.
    NOTE: Measurement should be performed at 20°C (68°F).

      Terminal No. Standard
    Pressure solenoid A (SL1) 1 - 2 5.0 - 5.6 Ω
    Pressure solenoid B (SL2) 1 - 2 5.0 - 5.6 Ω
    Pressure solenoid D (SLT) 1 - 2 5.0 - 5.6 Ω
    Torque converter clutch pressure solenoid (SLU) 1 - 2 5.0 - 5.6 Ω
  2. Apply battery voltage to the pressure solenoid terminals and check the operation status.
    CAUTION: When applying battery voltage, use a 12 V - 21 W bulb.
    When applying battery voltage, do not mix up the positive (+) side and the negative (-) side.
    • For pressure solenoids A (SL1) and B (SL2)
      Terminal No. Inspection conditions Judgment standards
      1 (+) - 2 (-) Apply battery voltage. Operates (with operating noise)

      (A) 12 V - 21 W bulb
    • For pressure solenoid D (SLT) and torque converter clutch pressure solenoid (SLU)
Terminal No. Inspection conditions Judgment standards
2 (+) - 1 (-) Apply battery voltage. Operates (with operating noise)
