Extension Case: Assembly

Install the straight pin.

Install the oil guide No. 1 (A) and stopper plate (B).
CAUTION: Always use a new bolt.

NOTE: Make sure the end of the oil guide No. 1 is inserted in the groove.

Tightening torque:

8.5 N.m (0.9 kgf-m, 6.3 ft-lb)

Install the oil guide No. 2.

Using the ST, install a new extension case oil seal.
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the extension case oil seal lip.

NOTE: Apply transmission gear oil to the lip section of the extension case oil seal.

Preparation tool:

ST: TRANSMISSION OIL PLUG (09325-20010)

Insertion depth from the end surface of the extension case:

0.1 - 1.1 mm (0.004 - 0.043 in)

Install the dust cover using ST1 and ST2.
CAUTION: Always use a new dust cover.

NOTE: Strike until you make contact with the extension case.

Preparation tool:

ST1: REPLACER 75 (09951-00750)

ST2: HANDLE 100 (09951-07100)

Install a new oil seal using ST.
CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the oil seal lip.

NOTE: Apply transmission gear oil to the oil seal lips.

Preparation tool:

ST: INSTALLER (18657AA040)

Insertion depth from the end surface of the extension case:

1.0 - 2.0 mm (0.04 - 0.08 in)
