Using An Ammeter With A Current-Measuring Probe

NOTE: The circuit breaker opens 4-40 seconds after the window stops going down. The check must be made before the circuit breaker operates.
  1. Remove the master switch with connector connected.
  2. Attach a current measured probe to terminal No. 3 of the wire harness. See Fig 2.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to ON position, and set the power window switch in the down position. See Fig 2.
  4. As the window goes down, and check that the current flows at approximately 7 amps.
  5. Check that the current increases approximately 14.5 amps or more when the window stops going down.
  6. If the operation is not as specified, replace the master switch.
