Using An Ammeter With A Current-Measuring Probe
NOTE:
The circuit breaker opens 4-40 seconds after the window stops going down. The check must be made before the circuit breaker operates.
- Remove the master switch with connector connected.
- Attach a current measured probe to terminal No. 3 of the wire harness. See Fig 2.
- Turn the ignition switch to ON position, and set the power window switch in the down position. See Fig 2.
- As the window goes down, and check that the current flows at approximately 7 amps.
- Check that the current increases approximately 14.5 amps or more when the window stops going down.
- If the operation is not as specified, replace the master switch.
