Throttle Valve Opener

  1. Engine must be at normal operating temperature. Ensure idle speed is correct. Disconnect vacuum hose from throttle valve opener and plug hose. See Fig 1. Raise engine speed to 2500 RPM.
  2. Release throttle valve. Check throttle valve opener RPM. See THROTTLE VALVE OPENER RPM table. If throttle valve opener RPM is not as specified, replace throttle body.
