Stoplight Switch

  1. Disconnect 4-pin stoplight switch connector. See Figure. Depress brake pedal. Check for continuity between stoplight switch connector terminals No. 1 (Green/White wire) and No. 2 (Green/Orange wire). See Fig 1. If continuity exists, go to next step. If continuity does not exist, replace stoplight switch and retest system.
  2. Release brake pedal. Check for continuity between stoplight switch connector terminals No. 3 (Black/Red wire) and No. 4 (Red/Green wire). See Fig 1. If continuity exists, switch is okay. If continuity does not exist, replace stoplight switch and retest system.
