Inspection Procedure

  1. Check ECU-IG, PWR No.2 and ECU-B fuse. 

    CHECK:

    Check continuity of ECU-IG, PWR No.2 and ECU-B fuse.

    OK:

    1. Continuity 
      1. NG : Replace the failure fuse. 
      2. OK : Go to Next Step 
  2. Check voltage between terminals BDR, CPUB, SIG and GND of passenger door ECU connector. 

    PREPARATION:

    Turn ignition switch ON.

    CHECK:

    Measure voltage between terminals SIG, and GND.

    OK:

    1. Voltage: 10 - 14 V 

    PREPARATION:

    1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
    2. Disconnect the passenger door ECU connector.

    CHECK:

    Measure voltage between terminals BDR, CPUB and GND.

    OK:

    1. Voltage: 10 - 14 V 
    1. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  . 
    2. NG : Go to Next Step 

  3. Check wire harness and connector between passenger door ECU and battery, passenger door ECU and body ground (See  HOW TO USE THE DIAGNOSTIC CHART AND INSPECTION PROCEDURE  ). 
    1. NG : Repair or replace wire harness or connector. 
    2. OK : Proceed to next circuit inspection shown in (See  PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE  )
